Any way to keep cats from digging up lawn?

notchristina asked:

For whatever reason, the neighborhood cats LOVE to poop and pee on our lawn. They also dig it up with their claws when they scratch around. They act just like dogs, and now our front yard stinks, and our lawn has dirt patches and big patches of yellow where the cat urine killed the grass. Does anyone know of any good ways to keep cats off of the lawn?

How to keep cats out of my yard?

ApplesandBananas18 asked:

My neighbor has about 15-20 stray cats outside her house that she feeds, and they like roaming into my yard. They hang out on my car and use my garden as a litterbox. Now my yard smells like cat! Any suggestions as to how to keep them out of my yard (I don’t want to put out mothballs because I have dogs and I am afraid the dogs may try to eat them and get sick)?

I have already tried:
A “liquid fence” product that worked for two days until it rained and it also smelled awful!
By the way, my dogs don’t stay out all day long, so they can only keep cats out of my yard while they are out.

Oh, and if you are asking about my “sissy dogs”, I have two Cane Corso Mastiffs.

how long does it take for two cats to get along?

Tess P asked:

I have a 3 year old tabby cat (penelope). My brother has a 5 year old black cat (jack). The two cats have met before, they lived together for about 3 months over the summer, and have stayed together at other times for a few days here and there. They hadnt seen eachother for 4-5 months though. My brother is going away on vacation for 3 weeks, so he dropped his cat off at my place. Jack is extremely bold and he explores a lot, so he just began wandering around, checking out all the rooms, climbing on things, jumping on the windowsill to examine the view etc… Penelope is a more shy and quiet cat, but she LOVES people. So she will just climb into one’s lap for a purring. In the past she has been fine around dogs as well, and so has jack. Since my brother dropped jack off about an hour ago, the two cats have been hissing at each other every time they pass. they also started fighting and then both simultaneously hissed at me when i separated them. Penny’s tail also got fluffy, which happens when she is either pumped up or scared. I was wondering when they will adjust to each other, and if you guys know of anything i can do that would make them both feel better about the situation. They have never been the best of friends, but when they lived together for a long stretch of time they were able to get along. Thanks for your help!

Are cats noses supposed to be cold if they are healthy like a dogs nose?

Smart1 asked:

My cat has a warm nose and not herself. I know that a dog has a cold wet nose if it is healthy. Is it the same way for cats? One of my cats is acting herself and has a cold nose. The cat that has a warm nose is a little moody and I am wondering if she is sick. They are 7 months old.
